South Cumberland
Fiber Guild

Our Mission

Our members’ interests and involvements in the fiber arts include spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, felting, shepherding, dyeing, rug hooking, growing plant fibers, and much more. As a guild, we learn and share information, participate in local activities where we present our textile arts to the public, and give back to our community through presentations and charitable donations.

Our History

South Cumberland Fiber Guild began in 1995 when a pair of local fiber arts enthusiasts sought more opportunities for material and inspiration in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, and its surrounding areas. Later that year, they met with a small group of interested people and founded the South Cumberland Spinning Guild. As the group expanded in size and scope, the name was changed to South Cumberland Fiber Guild to encompass the full spectrum of fiber arts.
